Disney cruises are, hands down, the best in the industry when it comes to sailings for families with children. Adults can find plenty to do onboard a Disney Cruise ship whether you partake in some of the additional cost experiences or activities or just enjoy the complimentary entertainment for adults. These experiences exist so adults can have their own areas to relax because let's face it, the kids pool has a much different atmosphere than a pool reserved for just adults!
Adult-Only Dining
Just outside the Walt Disney Theater is a snack bar where you can get candy, popcorn and drinks before a show or movie. Before you even get to Preludes, you will smell the freshly popped popcorn, which can be served in a souvenir popcorn bucket. If you bring your bucket back to Preludes, you can enjoy discounted popcorn refills throughout your cruise. Buckets that are brought on board from other cruises or from a Disney Park are not available for refills at the discounted price.

All of the Disney ships have an adult-only pool deck with a Quiet Cove pool and hot tub. Disney Cruise Line ensures that adults traveling without children have a variety of exclusive spaces and activities to enjoy during their cruise. Yes, there are characters onboard, but they appear mainly at set times in specific locations, which are noted in each day's schedule. Yes, but Disney's kids clubs are so stellar that many parents with whom we spoke said their little ones didn't want to leave. For anyone who doesn't relish the idea of screaming youngsters on the pool deck, that's a good thing. For lunch and dinner, the menu is filled with sandwiches, salads, soups and desserts. If there are chicken wings listed on the menu, I implore you to get them.
Adult Only Disney Cruise Dining & Lounges
You might even be disappointed that you can't spend time there yourself. It's got five watering holes; among them are an Irish pub and a lounge that offers views of major European cities via LED screens that change every 15 minutes.
